Watts Marketing has experience in a wide variety of industries, but is particularly passionate for the world of cycling. This expertise in producing cycling events extends back to when as a recent college graduate of the University of Texas-Austin with a degree in Advertising, a young Brook Watts produced the 1978 U.S. National Cyclocross Championship in Austin, Texas. Since these early days. Watts has worked on more than 100 cycling races in 30 states and foreign countries. Watts Marketing was the creator and organizer of the highly successful annual CrossVegas cyclocross race, the largest cyclocross race outside of Europe and the first ever UCI World Cup Cyclocross race in the US.
Since 2017 Watts has been race director for World Cup Waterloo, part of the UCI World Cup series, held in Waterloo Wisconsin.
Watts was elected in 2011 to the Cyclocross Management Committee of USA Cycling and is a member of the Board of Directors of USA Cycling. Watts is a member of AIOCC, the association of international cyclocross organizers. He was selected for the UCI Cyclocross Commission in 2017 where he works with others to provide guidance for the sport globally.
Watts himself is an avid cyclist who proudly – or embarrassingly – claims to have cyclocross shoes older than any current professional racer. Watts' lifelong passion for cycling is infectious as he continuously raises the bar to produce an exciting event that racers and spectators alike look forward to year after year.
